Partner Web-Listing
The district's Volunteer/Partnership Programs Department has initiated web-listings for "partnership opportunities." The school-level business partner coordinators are encouraged to submit their needs for partnerships and the district will advertise their needs through the listing. The purpose of this listing is to help match our Volusia County businesses/organizations to the needs of specific schools. If you are interested in helping with any of these needs, please contact the business partner coordinator listed for the school.
Businesses and organizations - see listing here.
NOTE: This listing is an optional recruitment method for schools and does not reflect the needs for all schools. Interested businesses/organizations are always welcome to call the business partner coordinator at any Volusia public school.
Business Partners
Recognizing that a strong public school system is essential to the prosperity of our community, many business and civic organizations take an active role in schools. The Volusia Partners program encourages this involvement by developing partnerships that enhance the education of our students. During the 2019-2020 school year, 292 businesses, organizations, and colleges partnered with one or more school. Partnership activities include:
- provide incentives and awards;
- financial contributions;
- in-kind service to volunteer, mentor, tutor or serve on councils/advisories;
- donation of equipment;
- adoption of a particular school or event;
- release time for employees to volunteer in schools;
- school sponsorship of programs, seminars and workshops.
